Calida transformed an inner city warehouse that was previously being used as a carpark into a large commercial restaurant.
The works involved completely upgrading the building from structural façade repairs, replacement of façade windows and doors, installation of a new commercial kitchen and bar, installation of new toilet facilities, new services infrastructure, new lift and internal stairs and internal floor, wall and ceiling finishes.
The Print Room was the first stage of the transformation of Durty Nelly’s hotel located on Glenmore Road Paddington. The first level of the traditional Irish pub has been transformed into sophisticated whisky lounge.
The works include structural modifications to open up the bar, decorative floor finishes, lighting, custom joinery and furniture.
China Diner is the latest instalment for the group responsible for China Doll and China Lane. The restaurant is located within the Toga Bondi beach development in Hall St.
The works included a complete fitout of installation of a bar, commercial kitchen, offices and amenities, seating and façade enclosure works. Bespoke lighting, joinery and furniture designed by Humphrey & Edwards was used to provide an Asian feel.
The Brooklyln Hotel on the corner of Sydney’s George and Grosvenor Streets, has re-opened as the highly anticipated Morrison Bar & Oyster Room. Designed by Akin Creative and constructed by Calida, the new 250 seat restaurant includes a brand new kitchen and bar, an impressive outdoor courtyard and an award winning team led by Executive Chef Sean Connolly and owner Fraser Short.
Works included value engineering the design to a set budget and fitout of a hospitality store within Sydney Westfield. The store includes a commercial kitchen, decorative and functional kitchen hood, servery and front of house embellishments.
Calida were appointed as the builders to deliver a complete refit of the existing BAIA restaurant including a new commercial kitchen, bathrooms, private dining room, casual dining and raised dining to a value of 1.8m. The challenges encountered in the project included maintaining the kitchen operational at all times, building whilst the design was being developed, and coordinating imported equipment from China.
