Building and Project Management
The Monkeys head office was relocated in May 2015, designed by Akin Creative it displays custom made timber workstations for all its employees as well as a large display of greenery throughout. The office has a “laid back” and “chilled” theme to it making all employees feel extra comfortable.
The two-level 1200m2 office fit out uses its high ceilings, exposed concrete floor finish, exposed structural steel rafters and calm theme to its advantage. Calida was engaged as the builder, but successfully project managed the base build works which included renovations to the existing building, as well as construction of the new amenities blocks.
Calida were engaged to undertake the redevelopment of 13 Bowden St, Alexandria, including the conversion of a dilapidated Slazenger/Dunlop warehouse into modern, “industrial-look” office space. The project boasts a new polished concrete floor over the 3500m2 floor space and a new Kingspan roof which celebrates the existing sawtooth roof and steel trusses. The fabric duct mechanical system, 3 separate amenities blocks, and internal steel-door car park adorn the 3 separate, spacious tenancies. With new zinc cladding and steel blade signage on the street façade, the driveway sports new wall artwork, asphalt driveway, paved walkway and landscaping features. This highly successful project was completed for repeat client W Property over a 10 month programme from late 2015 to mid 2016.
